2014 Season - Week 23
2015 NFL Free Agents
We are just a month away from Free Agency and while there are no interesting QBs available there are plenty of Running Backs and Receivers. These include Superbowl winners Shane Vereen and Stephen Gostkowski. The best of the bunch is Dez Bryant though everyone expects Dallas to resign him before Free Agency starts on March 10th. RBs who could be available include DeMarco Murray, CJ Spiller Justin Forsett, Steven Ridley and Ahmad Bradshaw; Tight Ends Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron and WRs Demaryius Thomas, Randall Cobb, Jeremy Maclin and Torrey Smith all at contracts end.
Franchise Players 2015-2016
As is the norm you’ll select your Franchise player after the NFL Draft and majority of free agency as I shall be asking for your Franchise players for the next two years early in June. You’ll be giving up the player that you franchised two years ago though some have been cut due to injury or as they failed to live up to their owners expectations. Meanwhile franchise players becoming available include QBs Andrew Luck, Matt Ryan & Russell Wilson; Rushers Marshawn Lynch, Alfred Morris and DeMarco Murray and receivers Demaryius Thomas and Randall Cobb. Coaches Marvin Lewis & Mike Tomlin and kicker Justin Tucker are also available as they have served their two years as franchise players.
A week is a long time in the BUMS
Attached is the favourite chart of the year giving a graphical view of your position in the league table each week. Three different owners led the Premiership:- Wayne who lead after week one, Ron who lead from weeks 2-6 and Johnnie who lead from week 7 onwards. But don’t over-react early, despite leading after week 1 Wayne’s injury decimated team fell to the bottom of the table while Aaron who was bottom for weeks 2 to 4 and again in week 7 finally turned it around to finish third. At the bottom, Cheryl, Dave G and Daz battled over the last two months to survive with Daz coming out on top. Three people led the conference George in week 4, John in weeks 8 and 9 but Andy H topped the table on all the other weeks. Everyone had a chance at promotion with John in the top 3 as late as week 15 and Stampy in week 13 but it was AP’s climb over the final three weeks which saw him join George and Andy H back in the big league. How high did you fly- how low did you go?
BUMS post season dinner
We will be celebrating tomorrow evening (Monday) at Porkys http://www.porkys.co.uk/ in Camden. Johnnie has booked at table so if you can come but haven’t said so yet, please let him know. I’m sure there will be plenty to chat about.
